Project Description

Preschool

In preschool, education becomes more structured. Activities last longer and have more specific outcomes. At this age children can understand more aspects of life and so we are able to work on a broader variety of subjects with them. Each subject is visited in various ways, and activities are more experiential in nature.

Free play is still a part of the daily schedule, but has more specific goals. Both fine and gross motor skills, such as agility, speed, proper posture and muscle strength are developed. Children are encouraged to understand their own body and particular traits.

As far as emotional skills are concerned, preschool children experience a plethora of new emotions. As part of our program, we help children understand each emotion they may be faced with and give them the skills they need to work through it.

Through social activities children gain information and experience in various social situations and so they can begin to understand what it means to be a “grown-up”.

Practice of verbal skills is also encouraged in this program. With specific exercises we help children enrich their vocabulary and language structure.

In terms of cognitive skills, children practice very basic mathematical concepts like size, numbers, counting and plurality. They learn the meaning of time and space and practice concentration and focus.

Finally, children participate in various types of artistic activities like crafts, music, poetry, storytelling and theater.
